These 3 questions are always a good place to start. 

First, who actually does the work? Ask who is on your team, which parts of the job are handled in house, and which get brought in as freelancers. There's nothing wrong with a good partner, but you deserve a straight answer about who will be on your team.

Second, ask to see examples of projects that match the scope, scale, and budget of yours. Then ask whether that work was done fully in house. Sometimes an agency will show projects that team members were previously involved with, which can be great to know. However, you'll want to be sure the company you're hiring has itself run events like yours.

Third, ask who your point of contact will be throughout the project. The person in the pitch meeting isn't always the person you'll work with day to day, so make sure that person is a fit for you.

We will scope around your existing vendor and manage them as part of the program, or bring our own partners if you would rather we handle it end to end. Either way, one event company owns the outcome and you are not refereeing between suppliers on show day.
