During the pandemic, NCL immediately went to work figuring out how to safely bring back cruising. It required scrutinizing every detail of the business to rethink how it’s done and a full commitment from the entire Norwegian team—from the CEO to the chefs, performers, and everyone in between.

VIVA saw a unique opportunity to capture the dramatic, real-life stories of NCL employees at every level, rising to the challenge of bringing industry innovation to new heights. We collaborated with Norwegian’s leadership and deep-dived into the intricate, elaborate logistics and workings of this global operation. Our close relationship facilitated the detailed discussions and creative problem-solving to arrive at a solution.

The result of our collaboration is the Embark Series, a five-episode Norwegian Cruise Lines documentary produced by VIVA Creative. Each episode delves into the profound care every Norwegian team member has for travelers and the immense effort they put into ensuring their vacations are safe and memorable. These emotionally compelling and deeply personal stories of sacrifice, teamwork, and hope unveil a never-before-seen chapter of the NCL family in action.
